Special Interests

Individually customised lens replacement / cataract surgery (including toric and multifocal lenses). Selective corneal transplantation (DMEK) for Fuchs endothelial dystrophy. DMEK is the latest iteration of corneal endothelial transplantation and offers superior outcomes to the current standard, DSEK. DMEK involves transplanting a 10 micron layer of endothelial cells (as opposed to 100micron DSEK transplant) and is performed only by a select group of surgeons internationally. Partial thickness glaucoma surgery (deep sclerectomy). An advanced form of surgery for glaucoma that is safer than the standard full-thickness surgery (trabeculectomy)
