Staying Well
The Staying Well service is a social prescribing and wellbeing support programme for adults aged 18 and over who live in Calderdale, including Halifax. It helps people feel more connected, active, and supported by linking them with social activities, community groups, health and wellbeing services, and opportunities in their local area.
The team works alongside you to find activities and groups that suit your interests and needs — from exercise classes, art and social groups, walks, and workshops, to opportunities to meet new people and reduce loneliness and isolation. Staying Well aims to improve health and emotional wellbeing, build stronger community connections, and help people access the right support close to where they live.
The team offer personalised help including:
- support during treatment and recovery
- practical advice on finding local activities and wellbeing groups
- help making new connections and reducing isolation
- referrals to specialist services when needed
