A new patient portal is coming soon

A new patient portal is launching in March 2024

A new patient engagement portal is being introduced at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, which will offer people more choice when booking their appointments and improve two-way communication.

The portal will be fully integrated with our electronic patient record system, Oracle Cerner EPR and the NHS App, so that everything in one place for patients.

The service will be delivered in partnership with DrDoctor, and is due to roll out across the Trust this coming March.

Project Manager for CHFT's Transformation Team, Takis Kalogeropoulos, said: "This is about empowering the patients to allow them to be more involved in their care.  It's really exciting news for CHFT, both for patients and for colleagues.

"The first stage of the roll-out is to switch our existing functionality, including our digital letter and text message service, across to the new platform, but the possibilities are much greater than this. The new service will ultimately allow us to provide more choice for patients, and help to reduce waiting lists."
