Lead Cancer Manager

Hello my name is Maureen Overton.

I am the Lead Cancer Manager for CHFT, I have worked within the NHS for 37 years. I am responsible for working across the whole system whether that be in the Acute Trust or primary care to ensure that all patients receive the best optimum care  whilst going through their care pathway.

Hi my name is Christopher Button. I am the Lead Cancer Nurse at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. I have worked in the NHS for over 30 years. I enjoy trail running and snowboarding and recently completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks run.

Macmillan Prehabilitation Project Manager

Hello, I'm Nicky Hill. I am an Occupational Therapist and have been working here at CHFT for 16 years. In 2019 I moved into the role of Macmillan Prehabilitation Project Manager. My role is to explore offering Prehabilitation within CHFT and supporting people with cancer improve their health and wellbeing prior to and during treatment.

I am a keen runner, enjoy spending time with my family (when not being mum's taxi!) and love to binge on a good box set!

Cancer Team Secretary

Hello my name is Heather Milner and I am the Cancer Team Secretary. I have worked within the Cancer Management team for several years offering administrative support. Prior to this I was a Team Leader within the Chemotherapy Outpatient Service. I enjoy DIYing, watching boxsets and spending time with my two beautiful dogs.

Clinical Psychologist

Hi my name is Hannah Gormley. I am a Clinical Psychologist and lead the Clinical Health Psychology Service at CHFT. I started my clinical career in 2009 and have worked with both children and adults. I particularly enjoy working with the psychological impact of health difficulties and have specialised working in the area of cancer. I enjoy teaching and being part of Health and Wellbeing events.

Clinical Psychologist

Hi my name is Leanne Messham. I am a Clinical Psychologist and lead Cancer Psychological Services at CHFT. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leeds, and have worked across a range of mental and physical health services. One of the things I enjoy most about working in cancer services is getting to build really good relationships with both those working within and accessing our services to provide holistic care that addresses both emotional and physical needs.

Counsellor

Hi my name is Ian Binks. I am a counsellor for Cancer Psychological Services at CHFT and have worked here since 2005. I have worked with patients with cancer for the last 25 years and it continues to be a source of rewarding work. Outside of work I enjoy dog walking, and both listening to and playing music.

Macmillan Information and Support Service Manager

My name is Helen Jones and I am the Macmillan Information and Support Service Manager at CHFT. I have worked for Macmillan for the last six years and for the previous 20 years, I worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for children.

Having had cancer myself, it is a real privilege to support others through the rollercoaster of a cancer journey, offering practical and emotional support and being involved in our Health and Wellbeing Programme, which includes First Steps. An interesting fact about me is that I am currently training for ordination, with a view to serving as a chaplain.

Macmillan Assistant Cancer Information Manager

Hello I'm Mandy Davies and I have been part of the Macmillan Information team for over three years I feel it is a priviledge role which enables me to support people who have been affected by cancer.  

 In my former life I have been part of the Maxillofacial Team based at HRI for over ten years and have been a dental nurse since i was 16!
