A series of videos have launched to improve care for patients with a learning disability

A series of videos have been created to support people with a learning disability and their carers or families when they come to our hospitals for their appointments. The videos feature our very own Engagement Support Officer, Toseef Ahmed, in a starring role. 

The videos explain what will happen during certain appointments. At the moment these include:

The purpose is to give patients with a learning disability an understanding of what is going to happen at their appointments, and informs them of where they can ask for reasonable adjustments if they are needed. It also shows how bringing a Hospital Passport with them to their appointments can be very beneficial.
