Local people are invited to our Annual Members’ Meeting on Tuesday, 22nd July, where they can hear about what’s happened over the last year, and future plans.

We provide services at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and community services in Calderdale. The AMM, which will be held at The Learning Centre, Calderdale Royal Hospital, is open to members of the public, anyone living or working within local communities, members of the Trust, and our colleagues.

This year’s meeting will share an update on how services are performing, including the significant work that has gone into improving people’s experience of attending Emergency Departments and how the Trust is supporting earlier discharges home.

The meeting will also look ahead to the Trust’s plans for the future, known as the Foundations for the Future programme. It will include a look back at some of the key milestones to date, and what is coming up this year, as part of the considerable work taking place to invest in the future of hospital and community services.

The CHFT Charity will also be sharing how people can get involved in their biggest ever appeal for a new Maternity Bereavement Suite and Counselling Room at Calderdale Royal Hospital. The appeal is set to make a big difference to local families experiencing baby loss.

Before the AMM, people will have the opportunity to look around The Learning Centre, which opened in February 2025, and see how it will support healthcare professionals through its state-of-the-art facilities.

People are invited to attend the AMM from 2.45pm where they can find out more about the Maternity Bereavement Appeal and tour the new Learning Centre. The AMM will start at 3.45pm and finish at 5pm.

The AMM will be held at The Learning Centre, Calderdale Royal Hospital, Dryclough Close, Dryclough Lane, Halifax, HX3 0LF. The event is free to attend. You can book a space by emailing councilofgovernors@cht.nhs.uk , calling 01484 355933, or registering via our form CHFT Annual Members' Meeting 2025 Registration Form.

There is no parking at the Learning Centre, though free car parking will be available in the Women’s and Children’s car park at Calderdale Royal Hospital, accessed via Godfrey Road.
