CHFT has been shortlisted for the 'maximising workforce availability to reduce agency usage' initiative in the Legacy of Impact Award at the RLDatix Awards Europe 2025.

This award recognises the eRostering teams’ collaborative approach. They work alongside the clinical and senior teams to ensure the nursing, midwifery and allied healthcare professional workforce meets the needs of our patients in providing high quality, safe and effective care, by having the right skills in the right place at the right time.

The e-Rostering team maintain RLDatix systems which helps support the CHFT's long-term strategic workforce plans. It means that we can use data to enable us to be reactive to the competing pressures experienced in our ever-changing NHS landscape.

Head of eRostering for Nursing and Midwifery Services, Rose Hagreen (pictured left), said: “Being shortlisted for these awards is fantastic recognition for the eRostering and clinical teams who work hard to ensure our rosters are running as efficiently as possible with our available staffing resource to increase resilience and maintain safety. This has enabled us to maximise our existing workforce capacity reducing our temporary staffing reliance without compromising patient safety, delivering on a national directive to reduce our agency staffing by 30%."

These awards recognise health and care professionals and teams driving improvements in care quality, patient safety and workforce effectiveness. CHFT were recognised during judging for our focused workforce planning, and collaborative leadership while maintaining a clear focus on patient safety demonstrating a commitment to improvement

Paul Sanders, President UK&I, RLDatix, said: “Congratulations to Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust on your shortlist for the Legacy of Impact Award.
