Congratulations to our latest peer-to-peer Star Awards winners, Jacqui Booth and Daniel Keating.
Communications Manager, Jacqui, was nominated by Director of Corporate Affairs, Vicky Pickles, for her work behind the scenes in supporting colleagues across CHFT.
Her nomination read: "I cannot begin to list the number of meetings I go into or the encounters where I hear 'shout out to Jacqui Booth for this piece of work', or 'Jacqui was so helpful and did a great job', or 'Jacqui's been brilliant in supporting us'.
"Her work rate is incredible, the quality of her work is fantastic, she is kind supportive and compassionate, and treats everyone with One Culture of Care. She is committed to making sure all of our audiences - be it colleagues, patients, families and the public have access to information which is clear, easily accessible and interesting.
"The team around her often say they don't know what they would do without her and I totally echo that sentiment."
Surprised with the award on her first day back from annual leave, Jacqui said: "I was flabbergasted when I found out I'd won a Star Award. I've spent so many years joyfully sharing everyone else's good news that I was shocked when Rob rocked up with my certificate. Truth be told it's really lovely to know that colleagues appreciate the time and effort I put into their communications, and that they take the time to acknowledge it too."
Trainee Biomedical Scientist, Daniel, joined CHFT in June 2024 fresh from University.
His nomination, submitted by Mortuary Assistant, Jamie Green, reads: "Daniel has constantly worked above and beyond what is expected of him in all areas of the department. He welcomes any daily duties and requests from colleagues professionally, and he has recently started on-call shifts in the mortuary despite travelling all the way from Leeds late on an evening.
"Dan has been a great help in the mortuary while covering for short-staffing, in such a busy period of the year for that department. He is a genuinely lovely member of staff, with a great professional can-do attitude that other staff can aspire to. He will go a long way within our Trust demonstrating all values at all times."
Daniel said: "It made me feel really proud to be recognised for the work that I do and get nominated for the award. I always aim to put patients first and it felt great to have this be seen by others inside and outside of my department."
