We've two in the Nursing Times Awards finals!

Published on:

We’re celebrating here at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust as we have two finalists in the prestigious Nursing Times Awards 2021.

Our Relatives’ Line, Virtual in Hospital Visiting service and Letters to a Loved One initiative have been shortlisted together in the HRH The Prince of Wales Award for Integrated Approaches to Care category at the finals.

Chief Nurse Information Officer, Carol Gregson, said: “It’s great to see our Virtual in Hospital Visiting and Letters to a Loved One being recognised alongside the Relatives’ Line.

“This virtual support is a success because everyone works together to make it work, including frontline staff, our technical teams, HR teams and senior nurse team. The service continues to develop further and we’ve even deployed new bigger devices that make it easier for patients to have virtual visits which has improved the experience for patients and relatives even further.

Our Bereavement Service Team has also been shortlisted for Team of the Year for their work supporting grieving families feeling the sadness and loneliness of loss.

The awards take place in October – and we wish our teams the best of luck!
