Congratulations to our Endoscopy colleagues, who were recognised at the Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy Awards last week.

The team was named Endoscopy Team of the Year, recognising their commitment to delivering high-quality care and supporting excellence in endoscopy services.

There was further success for the department as Lydia Bentley was also awarded runner-up in the Endoscopy Nurse of the Year category.

Head Nurse for Surgery and Matron for Endoscopy, Tracy Wilson, submitted the nomination. She said: "I nominated our Endoscopy Team for this award because of their outstanding commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and high-quality patient care. Through digital transformation, excellent waiting list management, and a strong focus on supporting patients with learning disabilities, they consistently deliver safe, compassionate, and timely care.

"Their teamwork, resilience, and dedication to both patient and staff experience make them an exceptional example of excellence within Calderdale and Huddersfield."
