Getting the App-ropriate support to our cancer patients

Published on:

The CHFT Cancer Support App has been developed to support patients at the touch of a button throughout their cancer experience.

Patients often explain the level of information at diagnosis and throughout their journey can feel overwhelming. Co-designed with our patient representatives the App enables people to access the support they need, whenever they need. It gives access to health and wellbeing support, such as diet and physical activity and strategies to help manage emotions. There is access to tumour specific information which includes effects of treatment, recurrence of symptoms and how to access clinical teams should they have concerns.

The information is linked to our recently developed cancer information website pages, lets people view and access the range of virtual support we currently offer through the Macmillan Information and Support Service. The App is available to download through the App Store and Google Play – search CHFT Cancer.
