Holly with her Award

Congratulations to Healthcare Support Worker, Holly Woodman, who recently won an award at The Kirklees Adult Learning Awards 2025 in the Apprenticeship Award category.

Holly has recently completed her apprenticeship within the Maternity Service and was nominated by the Widening Participation Team for the dedication she has shown throughout her time as an apprentice.

Head of Widening Participation, Rebecca Beaumont, said: "Holly's growth throughout the apprenticeship programme has gone from strength to strength. She has shown nothing but commitment to her role as an Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker."

Holly attended the event alongside colleagues from Widening Participation. After receiving her award, Holly said: "I was so shocked when I found out I had won, but it was nice that I was nominated by the team."

"I have enjoyed the apprenticeship as it has taught me the useful skills I need to be able to work on the Maternity Ward. It’s a relief now that I have finished, as I was beginning to stress when it was coming up to my end-point assessment (EPA)."

Well done Holly!
