Important information for people coming to Calderdale Royal Hospital Women and Children’s departments – including maternity

A photo of the Outpatient and Ambulance Entrance at Calderdale Royal Hospital

From Friday, 20th March, the Women and Children’s entrance at Calderdale Royal Hospital will be temporarily closed. Please use the entrance marked Outpatient Services / Ambulance Entrance which is round the side of the building to the right of the current entrance.

If the door is closed, please use the intercom for entry.

There will also be signs up in the area to help you get to the right entrance.

We expect the entrance to be closed for around five weeks. This temporary closure is to allow for the canopy above the Women and Children's entrance to be safely removed, along with the glass panels above the entrance. This is the area which will connect to our new hospital building and needs to be prepared ahead of construction starting later this year.

Thank you for your understanding.
