We are pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Director of Workforce and Organisational Development, Jane English.

Jane will join the trust from Sheffield City Council where she has been Director of People and Organisational Culture for nearly three years. From over 25 years’ working in the rail sector, Jane has extensive knowledge and leadership experience, bringing with her a people first approach.

Chief Executive, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, Rob Aitchison, said: “I am pleased to welcome Jane to the team at CHFT. It is clear she has a strong focus on people, putting our colleagues at the heart of what we do. At CHFT we care for one another in the same way we care for our patients – with kindness and compassion through our One Culture of Care – which I am confident Jane’s extensive experience will make a significant difference.”

Jane said: “As a local resident, this is more than just a job for me – it is a chance to contribute to the place I call home. Having spent my career working to support people, strengthen organisations and improve outcomes for communities I’m excited to join an organisation with people at its heart, one that is ambitious for both its communities and its workforce.”

Jane will take up her post in October 2026.
