From Monday, 25th May the entrance road to the A&E at Calderdale Royal Hospital (CRH) will be reduced to one lane. This is the entrance off Godfrey Road.
There will be 24/7 traffic management on site to allow emergency services to get through to our A&E department quickly.
Patients and visitors to CRH are asked to keep the route clear, and park in the Women and Children’s Car Park, or use public transport, where possible. The patient drop-off area outside the A&E department will still be available.
Pedestrian access will still be open, including accessible routes, with a short diversion in place. This will be clearly signposted on site.
This temporary lane closure is expected to last around six weeks. It is to allow essential drainage work as part of getting CRH ready for construction of the new hospital building later this year.
Thank you for your understanding during these essential works.
