If you call our switchboard at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, you may be connected to wards and departments via a virtual operator.

The Virtual Operator (VOP) system complements our Switchboard Team, who handle around 60,000 calls a month. The VOP is being introduced to help connect people to the ward or department they need more quickly.

You’ll be asked which ward or department you need, or you can choose to speak to one of our switchboard colleagues.

There is no change when calling Calderdale Royal Hospital.
