NHS 70th birthday July 5th 2018

Published on:

On July 5th this year, the NHS is celebrating its 70th birthday.

An amazing seven decades on after Aneurin Bevan laid the foundations we’re still here and proudly providing care which is free to all  at the point of access – a system which is the envy of the world.

We will be opening up our reception areas at Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary from noon onwards for two special 70 - Tea Parties.

And we want  local people with special connection and memories to us to join us.

For example, were you cared for by the NHS on July 5, 1948 or any time during that first historic year?

Were you born locally on July 5 1948 and will also be celebrating your 70th on July 5?

Maybe you used to work here and have fond memories of being part of this great organisation.

We want to hear from you and join us and  make a special day even more special.

Email us at: <link>chft@cht.nhs.uk or call  our NHS70 party coordinator Alex Hallsworth on 01484 355253  and tell us your story.
