Our Faiza’s a finalist!

Good luck to ICU Staff Nurse, Faiza Hussain who is a finalist at the Yorkshire Asian Young Achiever Awards* in Bradford this coming Friday November 11.

Faiza, one of three finalists in the Health/Mental Health category, said: “I have no idea who nominated me or why and to be honest when they called to tell me I thought it was a scam! I’m so proud though and I’ll be the only finalist from Huddersfield.”

She also has a separate passion for health and fitness set up an Instagram page @fitnurse during Covid as she knew that people might need motivation and support with their mental and physical health.

Good luck also to former CRH ED colleague Dr Anish Mistry, bottom left, who is also a finalist. Anish is now working in Leeds Teaching Hospitals in interventional radiology.

*The awards recognise young people of South Asian heritage who have overcome traditional barriers, deprivation and disadvantage.
