Team CHFT win the first ever Yorkshire NHS Charities football tournament

Team CHFT Charity

Alongside our other Yorkshire NHS charities, a friendly football competition took place last weekend to help raise money for each of the charities who participated. And Team CHFT won the tournament!

The first matches were held between Team CHFT Charity against Better Lives Charity - with Team CHFT winning 2 - 0. The other match saw Bradford Hospitals Charity beating Airedale Charity.

The final was then between Team CHFT and Bradford. After an exciting match, Team CHFT beat Bradford 4 - 2 to win the tournament.

Charitable Funds Officer, Emma-Leigh Quinn, said: "It was a lovely day, working with other Yorkshire NHS Charities to raise funds and create bonds. Now we will start to plan a bigger and better tournament for 2026."

Radiographer, Mohammed Muhasin, brought along his football team with student nurses from the University of Huddersfield. He said: I would like to thank our Charity for organizing the recent tournament. It was a wonderful event and a great way to bring people together for a meaningful cause.

"I'm looking forward to the next charity football match, and wishing continued success for the initiative."

So far more than £400 has been raised across all of the charities, with our portion being put into the Maternity Bereavement Appeal.
