The Ward brothers, Nick and Dan, are back with their hospital radio show "The Wards on Your Ward", airing at HRI every Monday evening between 7pm and 9pm.
New for 2024, patients, visitors and staff can now request a song. To put in a request, you can ring 01484 342 838. You will then need to give your name, which ward you’re calling from and the song you’d like to be played. This can either be done when the show is live, or you can ring to leave a voicemail at any time.
The brothers volunteer on a part-time basis to bring their show to HRI. Nick said: “My brother and I have always been involved with music and the arts from a young age. I am a guitarist and love playing rock music as well as listening to movie soundtracks. My brother is a pianist and has a varied taste in music.
"We volunteer to get out of the house and do something productive with out evenings. We also enjoy presenting a show which delivers music we are passionate about to our listeners.”
