On Thursday, 2nd July, we held our annual CHuFT Awards which celebrate everything our fabulous colleagues at #TeamCHFT do every day.
More than 300 people came together at The Arches, Dean Clough in Halifax to hear our winners announced. Hosting the event was Medical Director, Neeraj Bhasin, who started the evening with an amazing performance by Punjabi Roots. There were over 450 nominations for the awards this year, congratulations to everyone nominated and to those who took the time to put a colleague or team forward.

Go See
Winner: The Stroke Team who demonstrated outstanding collaboration and continuous improvement by learning from high-performing stroke centres, which has improved service design and patient outcomes.
Our other Go See finalists were: Charlotte Anderson (Safety and Quality Team), the Theatre Equipment and Standardisation Team, Kim Sisson-Pell and Nicola Cocking (Clinical Nurse Educators), and Lisa Jones (Specialist Nurse).
Digital Champion
Winner: the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team who received multiple nominations for their significant impact in transforming time consuming manual processes into digital.
Our other Digital Champion finalists were: Abigail Cunningham (Information Analyst), the Change Team, Jason Parker (EPR Team) and Dennie Sebastian (Operations Manager).
Must Dos
Winners: Aaron Corp (Consultant) and Alex Henderson (Specialist Nurse)!
Our other Must Dos finalists were: the Operating Theatres Leadership Team, Margaret Pryce (Occupational Health) and Jonathan Carbutt (Finance).
Excellence in Support Services
Winners: Jamie-Bussey-Thornton (Theatres) and Finlay Richardson (Porter).
Our other Excellence in Support Services finalists were: Carissa Rhodes (Domestic Assistant), Workforce Business Intelligence, and Sharon Rodgers (Southside Dining).
Compassionate Leader
Winners: Louise Taylor (Matron) and Andrew Hutchinson (Digital Team).
Our other Compassionate Leader finalists were: Susan Johnson and Amber Ballard (Urgent Community Response), Dave Nuttall (Community Therapies) and Kameo O’Hara (Pharmacy).
Putting People First
Winner: Jason Bushby (Medical Division).
Our other Putting People First finalists were: Sarah Whitwam (Theatres), Surgical Outpatient Clinic Nurses, Pauline Miles (Cancer Nurse) and Carole Ellis (Medical Laboratory).
Work Together Get Results
Winners: Deteriorating Patient Task and Finish Group and Laura Cooper (Surgical)
Our other Work Together Get Results finalists were: Emma Vant (Hospital at Home), the Finance Team and the Green Theatres Team.
One Culture of Care
Winner: Kacie Edwards (A&E Nurse).
Our other One Culture of Care finalists were: Kayleigh Rufus (Children and Young People’s Services), Clair Woodrow (Matron), Matthew Williams (Consultant) and Radu Crisan (Security).
