Huddersfield Royal Infirmary & Outpatients at Acre Mills

About Huddersfield Royal Infirmary (HRI)

Former Prime Minister Harold Wilson opened Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in its current site in Lindley in 1966, and so it will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2016. Huddersfield Royal Infirmary is about three miles from Huddersfield town centre. The main hospital first opened its doors in 1965 and since then many millions have been invested in the site to modernise and extend it.
