Welcome to The Rainbow Child Development Service, a multidisciplinary team which aims to support children with additional needs.
Children who are 0-5 years with additional needs who are referred to us will receive therapeutic and clinical care at the Rainbow Child Development Service.
We also run Specialty Children’s Consultant Clinics for children aged 0-16 years.
Our newly configured building has a sensory room, playroom, changing facilities, therapy rooms and clinic rooms. The unit also has a hoist linked to a weighing system.
While here you may see a doctor, nurse, therapists, child development assistant or support staff who are specialists in child health and development. On the day you will be seen by the most appropriate person depending on your child’s need but also receive ongoing support from the Child Development Service Team to continue to support your child’s health and development at home or in the community setting.
The service will also provide you with the right information and support to help you manage your child’s needs.

By Car
The map shows the location in Rosemount Estate, Huddersfield Road, Elland. Entrance 1 is the main entrance however it has a maximum headroom so bigger vehicles are advised to use Entrance 2.
Parking
There is patient parking at the Clock House and on the roads on the surrounding industrial estate.
