Flexible Cystoscopy

What is a flexible cystoscopy?

Your doctor has advised you to have a flexible cystoscopy, to help find the cause of your symptoms. This procedure involves the endoscopist inserting a thin flexible camera called a cystoscope, down the urethra(water pipe) into the bladder. You may have been referred because you have blood in your urine, problems urinating or require the removal of a stent.
