Preparation for procedure

There is no specific preparation required prior to this procedure, you can eat and drink as normal and take your medications when needed.

You will be asked to provide a specimen of urine on the day. This can be given to the nurse admitting you. Its important to test the urine sample for any infection. If the dipstick used to test for infection is positive the endoscopist may re-arrange your appointment for a later date.
