RADAR Key

A RADAR key gives you independent access to over 9,000–10,000 locked accessible toilets across the UK, helping ensure that clean and suitable facilities are available when you need them. These toilets are kept locked to prevent misuse and maintain hygiene, and the RADAR key allows people with disabilities or health conditions to unlock them without needing to ask staff.

You can buy an official RADAR key from Disability Rights UK, usually costing around £5–£6. This is the safest place to buy from, as it ensures the key is genuine and will work reliably.

Some charities, such as the Bladder & Bowel Community, include a free RADAR key when you sign up to their Home Delivery Service.
People with Crohn’s or Colitis may also be able to request a free key when joining Crohn’s & Colitis UK as a new member.

RADAR keys can also be purchased from some local councils, mobility shops, and other trusted retailers, but be cautious of unofficial copies sold online, as these may not work consistently.
