Meet the Teams at our Market Place
You’ll be able to meet CHFT staff, including team leaders and departments that are currently hiring. No pre registeration is required for the market place. Just come along and see what CHFT has on offer.

Clinical Apprentice Assessment Format
If you register in advance, meet the requirements for a role and provide the appropriate qualification evidence and assessment will be offered. The assessment will have two parts:
- Apprenticeship presentation
- A formal interview with a panel who will ask you some questions. Interview slots at the event are limited, those eligible will be interviewed asap. This may be an alternative dates following the event.
HCSW or CSW Accessment Format:
If you register in advance, meet the requirements for a role and provide the appropriate qualification evidence and assessment will be offered. The assessment will have two parts:
- A formal interview with a panel who will ask you some questions. Interview slots at the event are limited, those eligible will be interviewed asap. This may be an alternative dates following the event.
- A short scenario-based exercise to see how you might handle a real-life situation at work.
Assessment Outcomes
Please note offers will not be made on the day.
You’ll receive an email with your interview outcome within 5 working days of the event/interview. This will come from: ask.recruitment@cht.nhs.uk.
- Where an offer is to be made, you will be asked to complete an application form and then formally receive a conditional offer of employment.
- For those unsuccessful, we hope the advice from recruitment will help you in the future.
Pre registration is required for any applicants wishing to be considered for interview for any of the roles available at the event. Pre registeration closes at 12 noon Thursday 16 April 2026.
Role Requirements
Clinical Apprentice
- English and Math GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent
Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)
- English and Math GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent
- Competence based level 2 Qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Care
- or
- Care Certificate Standard – demonstrating the 15/16 standard have been meet and signed by an employer.
- Access to Higher Education (Nursing) – EQ. to Level 4 Qualification + 12 months experience in one of the follow; hospital, nursing home, domiciliary, residential homes or supported living
- Access to Higher Education (Health and Social Care) – EQ. to level 4 Qualification + 12 months experience in one of the follow; hospital, nursing home, domiciliary, residential homes or supported living
- Heath and Social Care Diploma completed at college + 12 months experience in one of the follow; hospital, nursing home, domiciliary, residential homes or supported living
- BTEC Level 2 Minimum in Health and Social Care + 12 months experience in one of the follow; hospital, nursing home, domiciliary, residential homes or supported living
- Second or Third Year student nurse on a undergraduate Adult's Nursing course
- Second or Third Year student nurse on a undergraduate Children's Nursing course
- or
Clinical Support Worker (CSW)
All role requirements as stated for HCSW plus:
- Moving and Handling training
- Infection Control training
- Customer Care training
- ECG training and competency
- Competent / able to evidence the completion of Health Care Assistant core competencies

Qualifications
All qualification documentation needs to be shared at the event by applicants as part of registeration. PLEASE NOTE - Without the require documentation, assessments will not be available.
