In addition to our support groups, from time to time we also co-ordinate social events.

Caledonian Travel have very kindly agreed to run a discounted trip to Whitby which will set off from Huddersfield Bus Station (stands A-C) on
16th September 2025 at 8am. Return travel will be provided at the cost of £12.00 per person. The coach will return from Whitby at 4.45pm. You will have the freedom to explore Whitby at your own leisure.
Whitby Abbey is a fantastic attraction that is wheelchair friendly and accessible. The ruins of Whitby Abbey are must-see. Despite the ruins being situated on headlands, people with disabilities can access them, including wheelchair users

Let's Bowl
As part of the Macmillan Cancer Community Meet Ups. We can provide patients and a family member or friend the opportunity to meet with other people living with cancer from the local area in a relaxed and comfortable space.
You are invited to attend our next Macmillan Community Meet-up at Hollywood Bowl, Bradford, Vicar Lane BD1 4DY.
These free events will next take place on::
- 24th September 2025
- 10th December 2025 (Christmas jumpers are encouraged).
Please feel free to join us. The lanes are open from 11am, where two complimentary games of bowling are provided. Parking in the attached car park is also free of charge. Simply enter your car registration into the machine at the reception desk upon arrival. A member of the Cancer Information Service will be attendance
