Semen testing (Andrology)

Andrology Service

The Andrology service is located within the Cellular Pathology department at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

We perform semen analysis for fertility, swim-up tests for IVF suitability, and post-vasectomy testing.

All samples require an appointment. To make one please telephone 01422 222053. Please do not drop a sample off without a prior appointment. Semen samples must be collected in silver-top toxicity-tested pots supplied by us. Please read the documents under "Essential reading" below.

We aim to turn around 90% of andrology cases within 7 calendar days.
